Texturing City

Ive begun texturing! its not what im best at, but im happy to see things begining to take shape.
Ive started texturing and refrenceing in the final street props for my city scene, then this week ill need to touch up modeling and start texturing on the buildings themselves.

Think i need to turn down teh bump map on the trash bags a bit but I like how these are turning out.

The matte painting in the BG is jsut a stand in until i make/find something better.

Model Adjustments to the bug-bot

Decided the body of my robot character was a bit boring before, and definetly could have been alot scarier. So I made a few adjustments, and here is what i got.

Leave any feedback! I wanna make sure this guy is as scary/creepy as possible.

Ill be happy when this is all done! Texturing isnt my favorite thing in the world... but when it isss done, then i can start playing with lighting and render settings!

This is a quick test render of the rigged bug drone character. Im pretty happy with how its looking so far.

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Ive begun modeling various Props for my film.

Most of these Props are all items that will be located on the city street (Street light, signs, trash cans, dumpster) and various kinds of barricades and fences.

So I should probibly be spending my time modeling otehr things and fixing my board... but instead I decided to work more on this guy cuz Im jsut excited to almost have him finished!

The Arms are all now rigged adn functional. The next step is to set driven keys for the claws to open and close. Then hes pretty much finished!

Hi There!

Soooo it begins......
Senior year is underway, and I've already tried getting a good head start on my thesis. Its already the second week of school and May seems far away, but I know it will creep up fast. Over the next coming months I'll be using this blog to post updates on my progress and share things from my thesis. I'm really excited to start working!!! I just hope I can keep that same enthusiasm for the rest of the year.
Please feel free to always leave comments and critiques of whatever I post. An outsiders perspective is always helpful, and I wanna make sure I'm doing my best.

Thanks!
